30 minutes nahin to free !!!

So today's the dry day of the country, although there is a vodka bottle which has been lingering on for no reason in my refrigerator for the last 6 months. It has been there on the really dry days when the bisleri supply in my home runs dry, no soda in the fridge or juice for that matter. I donno why it is there, I think I should ask paruthi to finish it off :).

Please pardon my digression but that cute smiroff bottle makes me high (just thinking about it has the desired effect, so I don't need to drink it :D). Anyhow, the point is that in the evening me and paruthi got hunger pangs and we started contemplating a pizza. We called pizza hut and damn they said that they had closed the  delievery services for the day. Our hands roaming like zombies, of course not so aimlessly, landed on a pamphlet of Dominos. So we ordered in a meidum pizza with a garlic bread serving and a "Diet" coke (on my request of course, paruthi is a sweet freak, doesn't want to let go of sweet even in the soda). I came back from a bath expecting a pizza and started cursing the dominos people for not delievering the pizza. I know why you are smiling now. We were also singing
"ta nana nana re , oee pizza aaye free, ... 30 mintues nahin to free".

And just then the delievery guy rings the bell. Paruthi rushes to the door (heck, he should have been strolling slowly to the door to reach to the door in the maximum possible time).  He is so innocent, doesn't understand the ways of the world.

I was sitting on the sofa, with my heart beating out of my chest. Franctic prayers rising to the almighty. Could this be the D day. The day when the "F" word gains new meaning for us.

Paruthi - "Kya bhaiyya, 30 min se zyada ho gaye hain."
Delivery boy - "ok sir, you get them for FREEEE"

wait, that is not the funny part ....

Paruthi - "Bhaiyya coke to laaye nahin aap"
(I know, he is such a greedy gold digger. He wasn't satisfied with what he had. )

We enjoyed our Free Pizza with a movie. And yes I can say that the Dominos people do respect their motto of timely delivery.
God Bless Dominos and the crappy roads in Hyderabad (or should I stay small islands of land in puddles of water) which made it all possible :)

P.S. - Jimmy - you should have extended you ealry noon visit to my place till the night :)

Very True.. Free pizza main jo maaza hai wo kahi nahi hai...!

I used to get free pizzas from dominoes some time back but now they have changed the conditions for home delivery. They count the time just till the Society entrance and not till our residence .!
